Reid Sabin

Reid Sabin skied a bomber telemark classic race to move in on first place with no penalties. Sabin finished with a time of 99.180, ahead of powerhouse Chris Rice by 3.82. Even without the three second jump infraction that he incurred, Rice would have not been able to overtake the lead—first place was out of reach today for him. Neil Persons finished 3rd at 6.77 back on the difficult classic course with a long, steep second skate section that pushed the threshold for many of the competitors here.

Cody Thompson

Winner of all events except for yesterday's giant slalom, Cody Thompson once again demonstrated her style and skill as she clocked a better time than 50% of the men, even with the two-second penalty she incurred. Lori Stahler, who took first in last year's slalom in Whitefish, came in 2nd by a cavernous 9.5 points, and Canadian Diana Mauriks finished 3rd at 4.570 off the winning time.
