Kenny's Double Diamond:
Rossignol's strongest ski for this year will be the Viper X99. It received a lot of good reviews in the magazines. The Energy Super 99, which is a step below, will also do very well; it's a little softer. The Salomon race skis got very strong reviews, but the market is changing and race skis aren't selling that well.

Sports Lionshead I:
The shaped 9X ski is a good stiff ski. It's not a super shaped ski, but has a wider tip and tail than the shaped skis. It has a narrow platform under the foot which is great for carving good long turns. The Viper X is coming off last year's Viper series, but they've added shape to it this year. The Rossignol powder ski is a very, very, wide ski. On the top, the cap construction gives greater rebound for the turn and on the bottom, the sandwich construction is stronger for greater control on the turn.
