CLICK TO HEAR THE CALL:
Hello Mountain Zone. This is Terry O'Conner reporting for the Everest Millennium Expedition on the morning of May 5th here at Base Camp. We've been spending the night listening to the radio, hearing the latest updates from the team as they're making their summit bid.

South Col If you didn't catch all the info from the last couple dispatches, the team did arrive a two days ago up at the South Col. They were delayed on a bid on the 4th of May due to high winds and did leave last night at about 10:30pm and have since been climbing—for about the past 11 hours.

The team is doing wellHillary Step and is currently located somewhere between the south summit and the Hillary Step, possibly going through the Hillary Step right at this moment. We haven't heard the latest dispatch from them, but we are anxiously awaiting the latest information.

Right now, we're kind of lounging about—just finished a little breakfast—doing our best to create a nice little smell here in the Comm Tent, after we've been here for about 10 to 12 hours. We'll definitely update you, probably within the next hour or so, as soon as we get a new call from the guys. Hang in there guys. We'll talk to you soon. Bye now.

Terry O'Connor
