Deboche to Dingboche

Elevation: from 3820-4360 meters;12,500-14,300 feet

Bird Observations:

  • Jungle crow - still with us
  • Yellow-billed choughs
  • Snow pigeons

  • Lammergeier - a real thrill. I am fairly certain this is what we were looking at. I didn't see the tail very well, but the golden brown head and back was distinctive. We saw three soaring together.
Mammal Observations: a weasel (unknown species) - we got a good look while he was running among the rocks; he was a solid golden/reddish tan.
