Ed Viesturs' Quest for the 8,000 meter peaks

Today, April 13, about 8:45am Nepal time, expedition members left Camp I to find a place to set Camp II, finally set at an altitude 18,400 feet. They had a four-hour climb in very good weather conditions and they had a very good day. At about 2pm, they arrived back to Camp I after a one-and-a-half-hour descent. Also in the early evening, they had a little snow storm but by 5:30pm the weather was good again. Tomorrow the expedition members will leave Camp I at 7am in the morning with intention to overnight at Camp II if the weather is okay.
