Memorable competition moments:
The US Open 1993--I came in fifth. It was a perfect day. Vail in 1995: Fun pipe, lots of friends, happy with my runs, got third and everyone said I should have won--that made me very happy.

Favorite place to ride:
Europe, Japan, and America.

Funny road trip story:
In 1993 I cruised around Europe in a Fiat Uno with three guys for three months. I didn't have any money and sometimes we had to sleep in the car. The three of us with all our stuff, sleeping in the car at minus 25°C really built some character.

What other sports/atheletes do you admire/respect:
Motocross, skate, surf, bmx, skiing, and mountainbiking.

Update:
People in Europe call him Mr. Style. Riding the backcountry or in the pipe, it doesn't matter; he flows through everything. You can find Aleksi by just pointing at the most fluid rider on the slope or pipe. He becomes one with his Custom 55 when he straps in. After the big events early this year, he wants to go the the States and continue working with filmers. Look for him at the US Open, with the rest of the Burton team.
