Denali National Park
Entrance Area Hiking Trails
Trail Information
Trail Information
Even in the populated areas around the park entrance you may
find moose and bears. As you hike, be alert and make a lot of
noise so that you do not inadvertently surprise these animals. If
you encounter a grizzly bear, DO NOT RUN! Identify yourself to
the bear by waving your arms over your head and speaking in a
low, calm voice. Click here for more
detailed guidelines. If you encounter a moose, do not approach
it. RUN if a moose charges you.
