Career Highlights *** (MZ) My most memorable experience in halfpipe competition came...(DK) when I won the silver Olympic medal both in ’02 and ’06. Being on the podium and watching the flags raised was a really significant moment. The last thought in my mind just before I drop into the pipe is...well, I'm kind of a worrier; Once you're not nervous that's when it happens I think. I am most proud of...winning the US Open four times. Grenade has...surpassed all of our expectations. Big ups to all the shops and kids out there that support us. Guys who influence / inspire my riding include...a lot of people like Jamie Lynn, Terje (Haakonsens), Daniel Franck, my big brother, Peter Line as well as the Jackson brothers, Shaun White, Tyler Flanagan, and Lucas Magoon. I live by the phrase..."Don’t count your eggs until they hatch!"
My goal is...to brainwash people into buying Grenade gloves. My brother...has had the most impact on me as a person. He's (Matt) the reason I started snowboarding. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have gotten into it. He always pushed me really hard. Editor’s note: Matt Kass is credited with inventing one of Danny’s signature moves - the Kasserole - which is an inverted rodeo 720. One thing I tell aspiring snowboarders is...to keep shreddin’.
