For Fall 2002, Pacific Trail introduces the Pac Tech(tm) Climate Control
System (C2S) for men and women. C2S defines lightweight, technical
multi-sport outdoor apparel that offers features and weather protection for
enhanced performance during heavy-aerobic activity. The new C2S grouping
specifically addresses the needs of the active, outdoor enthusiast who
participates in multiple activities for fitness-related benefits and joins
the popular Pac Tech(tm) line of waterproof-breathable shells and pants.
The 28-piece Pac Tech collection is available beginning August 1, 2002, with
suggested retail prices ranging from $49 to $188. C2S includes the
following four product groupings that offer slim-fitting, streamlined
designs for more mobility and movement, providing a higher level of
performance, functionality and comfort: waterproof-breathable outerwear,
highly breathable waterproof outerwear, windproof fleece, and stretch base
layering components.
New C2S product highlights include:
Waterproof-Breathable outerwear is fully-taped seamed and features Pacific
Trail's proprietary HydroVent(tm) WPB technology, a lightweight nylon micro
faille fabric with mesh and nylon lining, and component zippers. The Spire
Peak guide-length shell for men offers a more athletic, slimmer fit,
waterproof chest zippers and WPB stretch side and sleeve panels for maximum
movement. This jacket offers a zip-off visored storm hood with opti-pull
adjustment, pit zips, powder skirt, storm cuffs and an interior mesh goggle
pocket, all for a suggested retail price of $188.
Highly Breathable
Waterproof outerwear offers an extremely lightweight, nylon ripstop shell
with Pacific Trail's new AeroVent(tm) highly breathable waterproof coating
(a 3,000mm polyurethane coating with an 8,000 moisture vapor transfer rate)
and a moisture-wicking fleece lining treated with CIBA® from DuPont®. The
new Mazama for men also offers a new streamlined and slim fit with an
attached hood that converts to collar when not in use, and has a $108
suggested retail price. Windproof fleece features Pacific Trail's new
WindGuard(tm) Technology, a windproof microporous membrane that is bonded
between a non-pill, stretch fleece and durable poly spandex mesh. Each
garment is designed to zip into Pac Tech WPB shells. Additional features
include an adjustable bungee hem, spandex bound cuffs or armholes and
zippered pockets. Silhouettes include the cardigan-style Glacier Ridge for
men and Alpine for women for an $80 suggested retail price, and the
Clearwater vest for men that has a suggested retail price of $56.
Stretch Base Layering components for men and women are designed for layering with
Pac Tech(tm) WPB shells and pants during cooler weather conditions or to
wear alone during higher aerobic outdoor activities. Offered in a
midweight option, the components feature Pacific Trail's Dri-Flex(tm)
four-way stretch jersey knit fabric that is lightweight and durable with a
fast drying brushed fleece back for comfort and warmth. The unique
construction wicks moisture away from the body and dries quickly. Other
features include a zippered back pocket for storing trail fuel, flatlocked
seams to eliminate chaffing, ergonomic design streamlined fit, deep front
zipper and zippered lower leg opening for ventilation and easy on and off.
The Basis Midweight top and pant have a suggested retail price of $49.
