Santa Barbara, CA (February 5, 2002) -- After six years in the Mid-West, Horny Toad, creator of sportswear inspired by the outdoors will be leaving its Chicago, Illinois base for warmer climates. The company has recently secured office space for its headquarters in Santa Barbara, California. Horny Toad, which originally started in Telluride, Colorado, opened its Chicago office in 1995 when it was purchased by current President Gordon Seabury. Horny Toad currently has two retail locations, in Telluride, Colorado and Freeport, Maine. The new headquarters, located at 28 East Victoria Street in Santa Barbara, is currently open and occupied by the Horny Toad Sales and Design teams. The Chicago headquarters and "toad team" will complete the company relocation by the end of April.

Horny Toad's apparel has made an impression in the outdoor industry for its unique and spirited styles, fabrics and colorways. Although all operations will now be housed in Santa Barbara, fulfillment will continue from Chicago. The company's partnership with Search Development Center, a non-profit organization that provides vocational opportunities for disabled members of the Chicago community, will continue to play an important role in the distribution program.
