It's Gordon. We're in the village of Khunde, had nice walk from Thame yesterday, got a bit cold, a little snow on the way.

A little frost this morning but it is a sunny day with beautiful views of Ama Dablam and the surrounding mountains, putting a smile on everybody's face. The group is pretty healthy and that's it.

We've spent a lot of time visiting with local villagers and Lakpa's parents. His inlaws and such, they don't want to be shown up by the other inlaws, as in many cultures. Mostly it has been up and down type walking. Trailing along with the yaks, as their bells are jingling and the secretaries singing. [editor's note: he says secretaries. What he means, we don't know and are chalking another one up to altitude...] We're looking for another good day today. All is well in Sherpa land as the Buddhist influence starts penetrating our souls.

Hope everyone is well at the Mountain Zone and looking forward to another update tomorrow morning. Goodbye.
