Ciao Mountain Zone, it is Simone again. Today is the 28th of April and I'm here in Base Camp in with Denis Urubko because this morning me and Denis, during our climb to the third camp we met a very, very strong winds. And in fact, all the Sherpas that was climbing up [Unintelligible] with the luggage and run down because the wind should be around 100 kilometer-per-hour very, very strong. We try our best, but looking around I believe that these weather conditions will be...will continue also for tomorrow, and after tomorrow. And so to avoid to arrive in the third camp and stay there for two, three days eating, using gas and everything I decide to came down. We left all our equipment that we want to carry to South Col [Unintelligible] now this luggage should be around 7000 meters. But anyway, now me and Denis we decide to go down for two, three days, rest in low, low altitude not here in Base Camp but 4000 meters, 3500 because we have to consider that until now we are the first three arriving Camp III. And everything we carry ourselves because we have no Sherpas, no oxygen...nothing at all. The effort has been very strong. Anyway let me take with the phone with me so you will receive any...any facts from me. Bye-bye. Simone Moro, MountainZone.com Correspondent |
