Ciao Mountain Zone, it is Simone. Today is the 24th of April and it is all today it is snowing. So I am in Base Camp, together with Denis, but all the expeditions are taking a rest. It is a forced rest because also the people that wanted to go up today stay here in Base Camp.

Also, about our plans, probably something will change because tomorrow our schedule, we want to go to climb the mountain to Camp II and then Camp III and South Col, but probably it will be better to take one extra day more here. I hope that tomorrow will be sun so the snow will be melting and more avalanches will come down from the South Face of Everest and from West Face of Lhotse. So for that reason, probably tomorrow we'll stay here.

Many Sherpas today, I saw they go down the valley, some of the Sherpas from Khumbu Valley, and these days of bad weather they prefer to go and visit parents and everything, and I believe it is a good idea. Anyway, tomorrow will be another report and I hope it will be one sunny report. Ciao-ciao.
