Hi it's Ed Viesturs reporting for The Mountain Zone, it's Wednesday evening April 21st and we're at Camp III, about 24,600 feet, we're guesstimating. We left Camp II today at about eight in the morning and it took us about five hours of climbing to get here. It was quite interesting, we had some route finding to do. There was some steep sections, very good snow, no trailbreaking whatsoever. And now we're just at the crest of the plateau, we're maybe 50 feet below the crest and we really don't know what the view is up top, we'll get that tomorrow.

So we're crammed in this tiny little expedition wedge tent, Veikka and myself are quite warm. It's about 6:30 and our plan is to rest awhile and start climbing at 2 o'clock in the morning, hopefully reaching the summit in approximately six hours. Today the weather was phenomenal, it was a beautiful, beautiful day. Probably one of the best days we've had, we hope we get another one tomorrow.

We both feel good, we're ready to go after this thing and get to the top, and hopefully we'll have a great day tomorrow. So we'll be checking in from below the summit, or perhaps on the summit. That's it for now, thanks for listening. Ed Viesturs signing out.
