Worst Year Since '94 Tuesday, June 29, 1999 1:32pm (PST)
Scott Darsney with Alpine Ascents for the Mountain Zone, trip number seven up here at 17,000ft. We're still stuck here; it's been the worst day yet. All night we've been hammered by 40-knot winds. And the summit's nice and clear, but there's a big high pressure to the north that's causing all these windsyou can probably hear them in the background. So, we hang again today, day five, and we'll see what tomorrow brings. The forecast hasn't been so great. This has been the worst year on Denali I've seen since '94. We'll give you an update later and see if the winds calm down. Bye. Alpine Ascents Guide Scott Darsney, MountainZone.com Correspondent
