Summit Made For Breast Cancer Tuesday, June 8, 1999 2:26pm (PST)
Hey there Mountain Zone, this is Sean Sullivan with Alpine Ascents International. I'm on the summit of Denali, high point of North America, with one of our climbers John Lent. He's one of the folks we went down with earlier yesterday from 19,000ft. A beautiful day: low winds, fairly warm. Not a great view, but, gosh, this is fantastic. John brought upit's been a really kind of an emotional, emotional time up hereJohn brought up some prayer flags that he's carrying to the summit for his wife. They're in memory of breast cancer survivors and basically it's a...it's a beautiful thing. They're flapping in the wind up here and I know that his wife, who also had to go down yesterday, Mary Ann Castimore, will be very pleased that John was able to bring them to the summit. We'll be heading down to 14, 17 and 14 today. We'll keep you posted. There's about a dozen people behind us and so, it looks like a good day to climb Denali. Bye-bye.
