Athletic Resume: Eco-Challenge 1998. Jose is an expert mountaineer and has climbed several peaks over 5,000 meters in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Spain including Mt. Chirnborazo (6270m). He is a mountain biker and has competed in several mountain bike races since 1994. He has rock climbed in both Spain and Venezuela. In 1997 he came in 1st place in the II Valida National Mountaineering Competition.

He is a mountain guide and instructor and the founding member of the "Asociacion Venezolana de Instructores y Guias de Monta�a". Marco also kayaks and is a hang glider pilot.
