ABOUT TEAM USA:
Team USA is sponsored by Hi-Tec. The team surprised race organizers in the most recent Discovery Channel Eco-Challenge in Morocco as they translated a random lottery bid into an 8th place finish. Team Captain Paul Romero and Karen Lundgren, a champion mountain bike racer, return for their second consecutive race. They team up with veteran racers David Kelly and Jacques Boutet, who raced together in Morocco as members of Team S.C.A.R.
