Athletic Resume: Marlies is a top racer in Dutch survival competitions. She is also an experienced mountaineer having summited Mt. Blanc. In 1995, Marlies participated in a non-stop 12 person relay from Szeged, Hungary to Utrecht, Netherlands (1900km in seven days). In 1990, she participated in a non-stop 15 person relay from Kiev, Russia to Utrecht, Netherlands (2400 km in 10 Days). Marlies regularly competes in marathons, triathlons and survival competitions.
