Francesca is a competitive triathlete and is active in mountain biking, kayaking, horseback riding, scuba diving, Nordic and alpine skiing. She was a member of the Italian National Rowing Team from 1986 to 1992. She has won 11 different Italian championship rowing races and in 1987 she won a bronze medal in the World Championships.

He enjoys climbing, mountain biking and skiing (last winter he did 60,000m of elevation).
